Procedure
A person applying
to the Bureau will be sent a brochure, a covering letter and two questionnaires
A and B requesting particulars of oneself.
Both questionnaires A and B can be downloaded here and should be completed as accurately as possible and
returned to the Bureau, together with TWO FULL LENGTH (No bigger than postcard
size) photographs taken within the last twelve months.
Should someone withdraw from the Bureau, all photographs and questionnaires are
returned to the person concerned or destroyed.
Should the Bureau lose contact with a registered subscriber, the photograph and
forms will be retained for one year, and if contact is still not obtained,
photographs and forms will be destroyed.
On the basis of the information received the Bureau will do its best to secure
suitable introductions, taking into consideration general background, education,
interests, etc.
When a selection has been made, the photograph of the girl, together with
Questionnaire B is sent to the man for consideration.
If he would like to meet the girl suggested, his photograph and Questionnaire B
are sent to the girl. If she also agrees to the introduction, the Bureau
requests the man to write his first letter to the girl, via the Bureau, who
forward it - thus stressing the care taken never to divulge the woman’s address
to anyone. If the girl wishes to pursue the introduction, she writes to the man
direct and gives her own address. Then the Bureau steps out of the picture,
leaving the two to firm their own friendship and arrange further meetings.
Should the introduction not make progress, whoever decides to break it should
inform the other frankly of his or her decision, The Bureau should then be
informed and both parties can receive other introductions.
Applications for introductions will be accepted and considered valid by the
Bureau for ONE year.
The cost of an application for this period is €150.
Applications will be considered by the Bureau when completed questionnaires,
accompanied by photos and fee of €150, have been received.
No applications are accepted from persons under 21 years of age.
Changes of address should be notified immediately so that records can be kept up
to date.
